A lab for remembering through walking, listening, and collecting.

Memory of Place is a studio-lab based in The Hague. We investigate, record, and map fragile, often undocumented stories of places and the people who inhabit them, focusing on communities with aging populations or shaped by migration.

Our first project is to capture the voices of rural Romania before they disappear with its aging generation, creating a living archive that can later expand to other parts of the world.
